while i am not saying that it applies to all gays, this has brought to light the 'seamy side' of the threat of this life style where a perverted person would solicit anonymous encounters with strangers in a public place where anyone, even children, could be subjected to things they don't want to see, hear or be subjected to in a public place.How does the Larry Craig case affect the struggle for gay rights generally?
I don't think it will help, what the senator was doing is sick. Plus, if he is gay then he's been voting against gay rights all along. No, this surely won't help, at least Craig won't. I can't imagine he'll keep serving for long, maybe this will cause more gay people in government to come out and try to stand up for their rights.
It will only help if it motivates gays to out other gays who pretend they're straight, and who, as part of the pretense, oppose gay rights.
It affects peoples perception of gays because the sheep will think they are all a bunch of perverts. But this bunch of people is no different than the heterosexual bunch that uses prostitutes.





I was not aware that all police were Democrats! Funny how the GOP and the Republicans are all over the gays and attack them until it is one or two of their own!
It doesnt affect it at all. As far as the democrats go, they are strictly about gaining the political advantage at all costs they dont care about anything else. As far as Craig goes, what an idiot.
It just shows that maybe these people who are out yelling the loudest against gay rights may have something to hide.
