at our hospital they do, we have PA specialist in ortho,trauma,cardiology,neurology,and generalDo PAs ever get to work in ICU or trauma cases?
The function of a PA is to provide primary care to their patients, just like APN's and FNP's. I believe that there are a few ways that you can specialize. Many PA's work in Emergency Rooms but they deal with the non-emergent patients. I am not sure about ICU's though.....
