Divorce lawyers handling cases on a contingency basis?

A lawyer arranged a Marriage Contract which my husband's lawyer states is ineffective. I am not affluent (as my husband)

and require a lawyer that would act for me on a ';contingency

basis!';Divorce lawyers handling cases on a contingency basis?
What exactly do you mean 'contingency' basis? He only gets paid if.....

No divorce lawyer in his right mind would do that...a high profile law suit, yeah, but divorce?

A divorce lawyer requires a 'down payment' or retainer before he'll/she'll act in your stead.

Since you do have a right to legal counsel a lawyer could be appointed to you by Family Court and your hubby orderd to foot the bill...but you have to prove to the satisfaction of the Courts that you cannot afford one......Divorce lawyers handling cases on a contingency basis?
divorce lawyers need to get paid in advance. the money gets put in a trust and he gets paid from it. when the money runs out, you need to put more in.

if you can't afford an attorney, you can go to legal aid or maybe the court will have your husband pay for the attorney
